Longtime Owasso City Councilor Doug Bonebrake departs Ward 5 seat

On April 15, city staff celebrated outgoing Owasso City Councilor Doug Bonebrake for his longtime service to the community.

Councilor Bonebrake stepped down from his Ward 5 seat after serving in the role for the last 18 years. During that time, he served four years as mayor.

He received a proclamation on behalf of Commissioner Stan Sallee during the ceremony, honoring his dedication to Owasso.

“I appreciate the opportunity to have served with this group; it’s bittersweet,” Doug said. “I just want to say thank you all. It’s just been a really good run, and I’m looking forward to what’s coming up next.”
